WE NEED TO TALK

Firstly, I'm not your standard Personal Trainer, I don't think this title reflects what I do or what I believe in.

My Instagram photos are not on point, I love cheese and red wine and I very rarely wear make up. You will not find me advocating a certain diet or taking a billion selfies to get the right angle #doingitforthegram. It's just not who I am and I do not push this on you.

I ADVOCATE A BALANCED APPROACH TO LIFE AND WELLNESS.

Yeah I could be fitter, stronger, leaner, more insta worthy but I am happy with my body and NOTHING in this world is making me give up my Sunday night glass of red with hubby, or dinner with my bestie which always ends with dessert.

You see, these are the things we live for and I am not giving that up, neither should you. We can change our lives through our everyday habits so we can make progress AND still enjoy all of the wonderful things life has in store for us.

If it’s your birthday, eat the damn cake.

THAT'S NOT TO SAY I DON'T LOVE TRAINING, I DO! SO MUCH!

But exercise is not my life, my family is my life, I am fit, strong and healthy so I can be my happiest self with them and for them now and for many many years to come.

Because I work solely with women, I get it!

Somedays we feel as fierce as Beyonce and want to take on the world, other days we want to sit on the couch with a cup of tea and a block of chocolate.

I feel ya! Don't worry, we don't judge, if you're here moving and having fun then that is amazing and you deserve a round of applause because somedays its bloody hard to do that.

This is one of my favourite quotes. I feel like it really sums up my whole approach to life. You cant give up all the things you love just to weigh less, we aren't defined by our weight, we are defined by our kindness, our love and many other immeasurable things! Weight is definitely not one of them!

"CAN'T" IS NOT IN MY VOCABULARY

I am a big believer that you body will not go where your mind wont take it. Your mindset determines your success. I firmly believe that you are 100% in control. If you believe you can do it you're half way there. You may not be able to do it now but one day you can. Its not that you cant, its that you cant right now and thats OK! so long a you know that one day you can and will.

I AM CERTIFIED IN POST NATAL EXERCISE PROGRAMMING

I am certified in Post Natal Exercise Programming. I have many mums and also mums to be in my group and I wanted to be able to support them and guide them through safe exercise to do post pregnancy. It's important to set a good foundation after pregnancy as it can take some time for your body to get back to feeling like it used to.

I AM ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED WITH DOGS

I have 2 furbabies. Nala a Samoyed and Leo a rottweiler – so be prepared for dog chat, these puppers are my babies!!

FRANZI

Hi, my name is Franzi.

I've been a Personal Trainer since 2010 and have been helping women get fit and strong. My approach to training is to help you start exactly where you are and ensure you progress along the way so you can reach your fitness goals.

Whilst I take my work seriously, you can always expect a good laugh with me during class.

When I'm not working with amazing women just like you, I'm raising two boys, growing veggies, training myself and reading historic or crime novels.

VICKY

I began practicing yoga as a teenager, incorporating a regular practice into my routine to support me through my studies. My regular practice became a daily practice and yoga interwove itself through every facet of my life. 

While yoga for me began as a practice entirely focused on my physical body, over the years the mental health benefits of a regular yoga practice have evidenced themselves to me time and time again. Yoga has supported me through some of the most trying times of my life and the positive impacts it extends through all aspects of my life continue to enchant me.

A dynamic vinyasa practice offers me a form of moving meditation that leaves me feeling both energised and relaxed. Gentle and restorative practices are here to meet me when I need to take more care of my self. My daily practice is a constant, no matter where I am in the world or what else is happening in my life. It keeps me grounded and my body and mind healthy. The deep-rooted peace that yoga instils in me is what I hope to bring to my students, through movement, stillness and an element of play.

In 2018 I completed my first 200 hour teacher training in Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa in Rishikesh, India. I began teaching immediately and have not looked back. Over the last few years I have completed further trainings in Aerial Movement, Advanced Vinyasa, Myofascial Release and Yin.

In my classes you can expect anatomically intelligent sequencing, a balance of strength, sweat, stillness and an element of fun.

ABBEY LEWIS

I’m Abbey and I’m a dog mum to two beautiful little fur babies - Koda & Pepper.

I became a personal trainer to help others feel better about themselves and increase their confidence and happiness.

My favourite style of training is definitely HITT. Nothing better than pushing yourself past what you think you are capable of and getting in a good sweat.

When I’m not working out or obsessing over my fur babies, I love to get outdoors in nature as much as possible, either hiking, camping, going on adventures or just relaxing on the beach.

GABBY URBAN

I was inspired to become an exercise scientist after admiring my favourite athletes for years, but my true passion for fitness developed after discovering it's positive effects on my mental and physical health. Now that I've graduated university, I want to help others find the same enjoyment that I do in something as simple as moving your body.

I love training, but I also have a whole life outside the gym. I drink wine with my friends, I can spend hours in front of the computer playing video games and consuming metric tonnes of snacks – I take a break when my brain tells me to stop. I'm human.

My role here is to help women feel confident in their own bodies, to show you that you can be just as strong as the beefy dude you passed on the street. I want you to be able to have a laugh with me. I promise, I don't bite.

If you ever want to chat about non-class related topics, I'm a plant hoarder, animal lover, I love rock climbing and lazing about in the sun. Ask me about my favourite winery and you'll never get me to shut up.
